Video: Muir students' reading success gets slimy celebration
Students at Muir Elementary celebrated their reading success in a big, and slimy, way on June 5.
After two weeks of hard work on Lexia, a computer‑based literacy program, students completed an impressive 6,399 reading units across the school, with second grade leading the way.
To celebrate, each grade voted for a staff member to be "slimed," with more reading earning more slime. In total, 10 gallons were poured in a fun-filled reward that got everyone excited about reading.
